Detail of Lisa’s hands, her right hand resting on her left. Leonardo chose this gesture rather than a wedding ring to depict Lisa as a virtuous woman and faithful wife

Where is Mona Lisa Painting?

Since 1797 this was at the Louvre museum in Paris. In August 1911 a thief has stolen painting. and exactly after 10 years, he found. Some people say that Mona Lisa is not a Female. and da Vinci is a homosexual person. he might have drawn his student salai. or it might be the female version of Da Vinci. But this is not true.

  • Mona Lisa’s painting is not matching with people of that time.
    • A letter from Vince’s friend is found in 2005. Which was written in October 1503?
    • It was written that he is working on a painting of Francesca Del Giaconda. His wife named Lisa Geraldine. In remembrance, he was drawn.

Successful Research!

Pascal cottee a scientist in 2004 came forward. By using spectral light high-intensity multi-lens camera he separated the layers of paint. he found that the third layer features the same as Lisa Geraldine. this did not satisfy Vinci and he modified that painting.

Technique Behind Smile.

The University Of Sunderland conducted a survey. They said that ” we see the happy face when we are far” and “chin is so different when we see closer”. Da Vinci used a technique called Sfumato. Sfumato is a painting technique for softening the transition between colors, mimicking an area beyond what the human eye is focusing on.

Sfumato this technique doesn’t have perfect outlines. It is most often used by making subtle gradations that do not include lines or borders, from areas of light to areas of dark. The technique was used not only to give an elusive and illusionistic rendering of the human face but also to create rich atmospheric effects.

Left Side of Mona Lisa painting is much Interesting. Scientists found A Code in Italy which is “Answer Lies Here“.

Mona Lisa Has Eyebrows!!

Yes! Scientists have found the brushes and colors used for painting Mona Lisa. But As Time Passes this eyebrows which are light in color disappeared!

Pyramidal Composition!

So The portrait reflects the pyramid shape from hands to head. because this illustration is unique and fascinating. Landscape of left is slight higher than the landscape at left. Da Vinci’s famous masterpiece is painted on a poplar plank. Considering he was accustomed to painting larger works on wet plaster, a wood plank does not seem that outlandish. Canvas was available to artists since the 14th century, but many Renaissance masters preferred wood as a basis for their small artworks.
